Travelport continuously develops its platform to adapt with the rapidly changing market and needs of the clients. In 2011, Traveloport introduced Smartpoint , a powerful software for Galileo Desktop that supports a mix of cryptic, graphical and point and click technologies. Smartpoint has managed to integrate built in features such as Auto Polling and QuickView Queues to improve productivity. The enhancement was designed to provide travel agents a 15% reduction in keystrokes when making a booking and a 72% reduction in keystrokes when using a fare-led search. With a single click directly from the calendar, it searches for the best fare options and hotels.
On January 10, 2013, Travelport organized a search for a travel agent who exemplifies the maximum use of Smartpoint features. Out of 11 participants, Twinkle Aseron of Rajah Travel Corporation won the “Agent of the Future” contest.
