The Rajah Group of Companies marked an evening of celebration on its 41st Anniversary and the 75th Birthday of its Founder, Ms. Alejandra Clemente. The event was held at the Fairmont Makati, Ballrooms 1 & 2. The multi-celebration also featured the launching of two travel innovations, namely, the launch of the Funtastic Vacations Philippines brochure and the Rajah Travel Online Booking Tool.
The Funtastic Vacations Brochure is the first of its kind, with specialized tours created showcasing the rich history, diverse culture, and immense beauty of the Philippines. Travellers can immerse themselves in dramatic periods of colonization and eventual liberation, relish the gastronomical delights of the various regions, and revel in the festivals commemorating life and religion. The Rajah Travel Online Booking Tool provides a “one-stop shop” travel option for the travellers. It is user-friendly and provides access to real-time travel information, reservations, and ticketing. It is linked to various social media sites and live feeds. The interest generated on both travel products has been very positive and has been met with enthusiasm in the travel industry. Travel planning is made easier for all travellers.
The event was attended by the Corporate, Local and International Travel Trade, Tourism, Government, and Embassy officers and representatives. Also present during the evening were close friends, relatives, and associates of Mrs. Alejandra Clemente and the people behind the Rajah Group of Companies. Various personalities spotted enjoying the evening were: Former Secretaries of Tourism Rafael Alunan III, Richard Gordon, and Narzalina Lim. Others joining the celebration were Congressman Roque Ablan, Former Senator Freddie Webb, Amparo Aspiras, David Celdran, Susan Calo-Medina, and the Carlson Wagonlit Travel visitors Kelly Kuhn, President Asia Pacific and Scott Mcdonald, CFO Asia Pacific. The event was even made more memorable by the raffling off of 41 prizes composed of travel accessories and gadgets, air tickets, hotel accommodations, cruise packages, and land arrangements, symbolizing the Rajah Group of Companies’ 41 years of dedicated travel services.
